  1. add cocoa butter and you have milk choc?!

  2. it really depend on what you're doing...

i just made chocolate this morning and i learned what makes chocolate thicker because i didnt use any chocolate only cocoa powder, butter, cream, and condensed milk

here are some ingredients you can add to make it thick and not runny:

cocoa powder(if u want u can use powdered chocolate drink)

    powdered/icing sugar

    condensed milk

    chocolate chips(melted)

if u have a plain chocolate bar u can add that too...

good luck and its not hopeless...

u can have fun with it, dont get mad at your sister you can add all sorts of things and experiment...have fun!

  3. there isn't much you can do with what you already did.  You can use that to put into hot chocolate and melt some more down.

  4. Add baking cocoa!!!! It should make it thick or if u have anymore chocolate add a little more

  5. theres no helping that chocolate. make more

  6. add more chocolate

  7. idk add more?

  8. Actually your little sister was making a watered down ganache. She's bound to be a great baker. Ganache is made with heavy cream and chocolate. Add more chocolate to it.

  9. So I am kind of confused, but I am guessing you want the chocolate to have a thicker consistency. If you are adding it into the cookie dough, you could just add some more flour to the dough. (about 1/3-1/2 cup, depending on how much dough you have) If you want the chocolate by itself to be thicker, add about a table spoon of butter (softened, but not melted) and 1/4-1/2 cup powdered sugar.

    Good Luck!

Edit: Ashtol, she cannot make ganache with milk, you are right about the heavy cream though. Because of the lack of fat in milk vs. heavy cream, the chocolate would turn out dry and crusty after it dried.

  10. WOW! Im not sure that can be fixed.  Id like to see some answers on that one!  But you can start over if you have baking cocoa.

  11. There's nothing you can do with it now.  Just melt some more.

  12. It's already done and over with. When you introduce liquids to melted chocolate, it makes it sieze up. Start over with a new batch of chocolate.
