  1. sizing for a snowboard has to do with weight and riding style.  a softer more flexible board is good for groomed riding and the park.  it is also good for lighter people.  A stiffer board should be used for heavier individuals and people who are interested in freeriding.  for some one who is arround 150 they could go with a board between 249 to a 153, between that and 200 they would be good with a 153 to 160, if your over 200 I wouldnt go with anything under 157.  the reason that you dont want too short of a board is that after you get it broken in it is much more likly that you will snap the tail off when landing a jump, or that it will be extreemly buttery when you are riding at higher speeds.  I would go to your local board shop and have them fit you for size and style of board.  good luck and have a good season.

  2. well if you have never been rent u might not like it but if you no u really like snowboarding then Burton is the best but that's what i think it does not really matter when u fist start off

  3. Hi

If you stand the board you wont up, it should be around your chin area! and if you want to do jumps rails then the board should have alot of flex in it, you know this by putting your foot just below the binding and pushing down while holding the nose of the board. if you want to generally go down a mountain the board should have little flex but be firm and stiff. i hope this helps. try a salomon board, K2, Head. there good and some arnt too expensive
