Help choosing a sport please!?

I'm going into 8th grade and I don't have a favorite sport... I really need to pick one for entertainment and exercise before I get fat (I'm not right now). I really do NOT like the heat, It feels like all the energy is being sucked from me... (even when I'm drinking water).

What type of body is required for each sport? For example, I know that most swimmers have broad shoulders.

I have tried:

Soccer (did not like)

Basketball (did not like)

Tennis (did not like)

Volleyball (did not like)

Swimming (did not like)

Ice Skating (wasn't too bad, but I don't remember much)

Gymnastics (did it for 2 years, wasn't too bad, but it's been several years since)

Cross Country (I'm not really a runner)

Track (ok, but I'm still not really a runner!)

Can you think of any other sports I could try?

Thanks for everyones help!

  1. I like someones idea of fencing.  Sounds like you enjoy the more artistic things.  I'd suggest dance classes.  They are not a sport per say but there are so many styles you may find one you like and it definitely requires you to be in shape.

    Or how about marshal arts?

  2. i would tottally suggest gymnastics but u need tons ofmuscle! dance flexibility counts! and or lacrosse combines both arm strength from holding a stick and catching a ball with it and leg strength from funning up and down the field! HAVE funnn good luck and please answer mine<http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... thanks :) peaceee

  3. Do Fencing.  Is a rare skill to learn and interesting conversation starter and only requires quick reaction time and quick leg movements.

You could also do racquetball.  You are indoors so do not get that hot and is a great workout.

  4. ok you know what?? this may sound harsh but in every sport you try there is going to be heat so just get over it. and since you havent tried it yet go for throwing. its part of the field in track and field, try shotput and discus although  as far as i know only shotput is offered at teh middle school level. or. maybe. you should try softball. or cheerleading. or golf.

  5. Try aquarobic, it's low impact aerobic in a swimming pool, so you won't get hot.
