Help connecting ps3 to internet

hi i need help connecting my ps3 to the internet i currently am connected via optus wireless...thru a usb port. I'm after the easiest most effective way to connect so far i have tried using an ethernet cable from pc to ps3....that seemed to heat up the ps3 too much do i need a router any suggestions would be great cheers

  1. Get a router for wireless connection. Less wires and all that. The heating situation seems to be something else though. Make sure it's not too close to a wall or in a small  space.


  2. get a wireless router, its very easy to use and the setup is extremely easy. just go to wireless, then select scan and select the wireless internet you want to use. then type in your WEP key and then you should be up and running.
