Help convincing parents to let me learn Krav Maga (martial arts)?

Question

Parents have spent a lot of money especially for me

I want to join ROTC so they will pay for college but my parents still think they have to pay

they are also fixing up the house which costs a lot of money

Help!

pffffffffffft jus tell them that  u get raped and beat up a lot at skul. neway..  u can jus learn krav maga in youtube. type in ... human weapon krav maga, that  show tells u how to do sick moves n stuff.

Give your parents some good recources pertaining to Krav Maga, the value of knowing it, and how it's widely used by combat profesionals. Above all, stress the self-defense benefits of learning it - it's a skill that could save your life (I'm assuming that your parents care about your safety). You're in a good situation because you want to learn a practical self-defense system as oppose to something like Kung-Fu. Maybe most importantly: go to a reasonably priced school. Try not to sacrifice quality for cost - there are plenty of excellent teachers who arn't rip-off artists. Good luck.
