Last year I got worried because I noticed that my "little" sister was catching up to my 5-9 height. I'm 20 and she is 16. Right now, she is 5-8 and 16 years old and insists that she will still get taller because her feet are still growing. She also notes that our dad is 5-11 and HIS sister is 6-1! I told her not to wear heels because she was too tall, but she told me that I was too short and that i had a napoleon complex. It seems so embarrassing for a guy to have to look up at his younger sister, but she tells me that it is family tradition for the girls to be taller than their brothers.

  1. count your blessings.  feel good about yourself.  height is not everything in the world.  just tell your sister she may be taller than you but you're better  in something else.

  2. It's all about genes, if she is taller then you can do nothing about it! Why worry about something that you cannot change?

There will always be someone, taller, smarter, or better looking than you. This is how the world is, you just have to be happy with yourself!

  3. She's your SISTER! You should be trying to support her and make her feel good about herself (which apparently she does, good for her), not making her self-conscious. It is IMPOSSIBLE to change something like height, so one should embrace it. This advice goes for you, too. My dad was 5'9" and it certainly never held him back. You should feel great about who you are, and you owe your sister an apology. If I were you, I'd take her shopping for a nice pair of heels!

  4. Get over it Napoleon. Height is just something you're born with or without . It's no big deal ... I'm 5'6  and it's never bothered me.
