Can anyone help me out with this pls????

A rectangular block of ice containing a fossil measures 42cm x 26cm x 15cm and has a mass of 21800g. The Density of ice is 0.917g/cm^3; the density of the fossil contained in the ice is 3.64g/cm^3. What percentage of the block's total mass is the fossil?

I've found the density of the block but i just dont know what the question means. Please help?

  1. Its a proportion question

The total mass of the block is made from some % fossil, some % ice

You know the density of the block and the density of each of the components

    Density of block= X% * Density of ICE + (1-X%) * Density of Fossil

    Now just solve for X
