  1. It depends if you enjoy history or not, and, more importantly, are you good at it academically speaking. I took AP Government and Politics (very much in the same area as history) during my junior year and received an A in the class and loved the experience. But, two things, I had a great teacher and enjoyed the subject matter. My school did not offer AP history, but I would have taken it if it had.

Colleges will like the fact that you have taken AP classes, as they are generally considered to be good college prep, but the main thing they are going to care about is going to be the sum of your transcript, not so much any one class. It also matters what your major will be; if you are planning a history or history related major, it will matter more.

More important than the class itself (as far as college goes) is the AP Exam, offered towards the end of the course. This exam will determine whether or not you get college credit. The exam will be part written and part multiple choice, as I recall. You can score anywhere from a 1 to a 5 on the exam, with a 3 being the lowest passing score (meaning you get college credit). I scored a 4.

  2. are you going into 11th? or going IN to 10th?

  3. AP classes always look good to colleges, so unless you really just can't handle it, stick with it. Take as many APs as you can without overextending yourself. AP classes can be difficult, but it's often just a lot of work. Make sure you keep up with your homework, and studying, and you should be all right. Take AP classes in subjects that you're good at. Good luck!
