Help! did i ovulate yet? many points for best answer!!!

Question

okay so, my cycle is usually 30-35 days long, i had a m/c on 5/17/08 so it still could be a little mess up.. my lmp was 7/17/08... starting on 8/6/08, i got what looked like it could have been a positive OPK, then yesterday, 8/8/08 i checked it once in the morning and it was the same almost positive, i also checked it again yesterday afternoon at 5pm and it looked positive, this morning i checked it first thing and it was definitely positive...today at 4pm i took it again and it was negative but that could have been b/c i drank a lot of water today.. dh and i bd'd last night at 9pm and today at lunch time, yesterday was day 22 of my cycle, do you think i missed my ovulation and my opk's were wrong, or could i really have ovulated yesterday or this morning????

If you are using OPK's you ovulate 12-24 hours after the first positive strip. You then have12 hours after ovulation for fertilization since it takes sperm that long to make the journey to the egg, egg lives for about 24 hours.

A positive opk is indicative of ovulation anywhere from 12-36 hours from the time you receive the positive result. I suspect that you may be getting ready to ovulate 8/9 (saturday).

I have had positive opks in the past that lasted 2-3 days and went on to ovulate approximately 24 hours later. But with the m/c, it's possible that it may be throwing your entire cycle off.

So, I don't think that you missed your O day. Maybe you just o'd later this time. It does happen sometimes. Good luck!!!
