Help does anyone know where i can get skiing gloves?

Question

my daughter is going on a trip with the school i have searched everywhere and just when i thought i had finally got some i just opened an email apologising that the company had sold out PAH!

i would be so grateful if anyone out there could point me in the right direction

Now this one I can answer!

Though regular skiiers will swear by a quality pair of gloves from a ski shop or from the pro shop at a ski resort, we have found for the kids and for myself, that you could invest in a similar pair of gloves from ODD LOTS or BIG LOTS.  

True, they won't be of high quality, but they will keep those hands warm and dry for a ski trip or two.  They may wear out, but at those prices, you can afford to buy another pair every season or every other year or whenever, as your child continues to grow and need a larger glove. (Plus, if you have smaller kids in the family, you can pass them down and allow them to rip up and abuse the pair of gloves and not feel like  you've lost a lot of value if they loose one or destroy them.

Does anyone else agree or disagree with this simple advice?

Hmmm.

I was in d**k's Sporting Goods last week, they still had ski gloves on sale. Eastern Mountain Sports and REI almost always have gloves. Local Ski shops and Gear stores almost always have ski gloves except in the middle of june. Lastly, almost every ski area has a store that sells everything from ski jackets to face masks. The cost there might be more, but you'll almost always find something at the resort. Used clothing stores and Thrift Stores often have gloves as well.

Worse case is have her just go to the lost and found and take a pair.

Try your local ski shop, also the resort may have a limited selection left in their store.  If it's a big resort town like Whistler or Vail, they will have gloves for sure.
