Im buying a pioner in dash dvd player and i have two options. Either buy a refurbished one with a two year extended warranty OR buy a brand new one with no warranty. They both end being the same price. what you think.

  1. me personally i would buy the refurbished one because the factory took it back and fixed it to just like new and you get a warranty with it as for the brand new one its the exact same thing and same price w/o a warranty its still going to work the same so i would recommend the refurbished one. i hope this helped you

  2. Why would the new one not have a warranty, maybe you should check that again.

  3. Okay for starters, all goods, at least those sold in Australia (and I assume other countries are the same) come with an implied statutory warranty that the goods will be fit for their intended purpose. Having said that, this would be for a maximum of 1 year and only if it is brand spanking new.

Secondly, I don't see how you can go past a refurbished one with a 2 year extended warranty seen as though you are guaranteed a replacement (or equivalent) for 2 years - no iffs or butts!

Pioneer are a great brand of car audio and accessories so I doubt you would have any problems with them anyway.  Good luck!
