Help! failing forum need sugestions?

Question

my friends and I have started up a new forum, Our old one had nearly 1500 members and 100 active posters, but this time we are really having a hard time attracting members, in fact were lucky to have 3 visits a day, Im trying to revive the site, get new members and what not. The site is www.hemu.co.nr its free to join and we only send one conformation email, Im trying to think of a way to get new members and also some more topics to post about to grab peoples attention. any sugestions?

Do you moderate your forum?  I'm part of a forum that is completely unmoderated.  Only illegal content would be removed and that hasn't come up yet.  It works well for us.  Our members tend to be in their twenties to forties, and can handle it.  We also don't limit what subjects you can talk about.  With only 69 members we keep up a pretty good level of posting.

Ill help pass your website around via MSN etc for a start. Ive been on it and it's quite good.

Invite members from your old site to join the new one and advertise as much as you possibly can and tell people to pass the word around.
