Help!!! first day of school question.

Question

My daughter is starting 1st grade this year .

she is a little apprehensive about going how do I help her get over her fear? also when I leave her she cries, what do i do?

I had this problem with my stepson (who also is autistic). After a few days, he made some friends and was much better. Of course, no kid is ever going to really enjoy going to school. I know as a parent it's hard to accept, but sometimes you have to let your child go out into the world. That's how they learn how to handle problems and deal with life on life's terms.

Get her excited about going to school by telling her how many new friends she'll make, and how much fun it is.

If that doesn't work, bribe her and tell her if she is a good girl at school you'll get her a new toy or something haha :)
