Help fixing/removing ak stock?

i just bought a romanian 2001 sar-1 and the stock sticks out a bit to much, i tried pushing it in but it wont go in, trying to take it off so i can see what i can do to make it have a closer fit but it only wiggles i cant pull it out, any tips on how to fix problem and how to take stock off? heres a pic to show prob

  1. You need to remove the receiver cover and your recoil spring assembly to get at the second stock s***w.  Push in on the back of your recoil spring rod which is protruding out of the receiver cover.  This will allow you to lift the cover off.  Push in on the back of the rod to slide the back of the rod out if its slot and expose the s***w.  Installation is the reverse order.  Make sure that the front of the cover is in its front receiver slot when you install it.  


  2. There are two screws inside the receiver that hold the stock in place. Once those are out, the stock will come of... However, Romanian AK's are notorious for having ridiculously hard to get off stocks. I had to put mine in a vice and pull as hard as i could to get mine off.
