Question:

Help- foam stuff in wakeboard life jacket has bunched up

i got a pretty nice "jet pilot" wakeboard life jacket, but in some sections of the jacket where there is buoyant foam stuff, all the foam has sort of bunched up into one spot instead of laying flat, how it is supposed to be. i dont know if it is because of hard falls or what that it is clumped up, but i want to know how to "uncrumple" it so it lays flat again. ive had the jacket for about a month.

thanks- sorry its a little hard to explain

  1. If you've only had it for about a month, I would recommend bringing it back to the place you purchase it. If it is a boating supply store, they can advise you on whether or not it is safe to continue using. If it isn't, let them know that it hasn't held up and get your money back

There could be internal damage in the jacket if it's getting crumpled up which could make it less effective...just as you are supposed to replace a bike helmet after any sort of impact.

    Good luck!
