Help for Chemistry Question!!!!?

A 3.7cm3 block of unknown material has a mass of 0.00457 kg. What is the density in g/cm3? Will the block float in Water? 3=cubed!!

  1. Well, first, lets convert 0.00457 to grams. Once we have that number (lets call it variable x) put x/3.7 and do the division. You get a number, the g/cm3, lets call it y. Then if y is lighter than the density of water, it will float in water. And vice-versa. The reason I'm not giving you any values is because you have to figure it out on your own. I don't want to do your work for you. Good luck!
