  1. if you accidentaly do eat or drink its k, it says if you do that then its k that allah has given you that but continue fasting

its not haram to swallow your spit i never heard that one

  2. it;s not wrong to eat forgetfully but once you've realised that you're fasting then you must stop eating. to remind others that they're fasting is not wrong either. infact you must remind others about it.

is it bad to swallow the spit? no there is no harm in that. you can;ty live without swallowing the saliva anyway..

is this your first ramadaan? best of luck

may Allah help us utilize the Holy month to the fullest.

allahumma bariklana rajab wa sha'ban wa ballighna ramadan

    AAMEEN

  3. 1. If you "accidently" eat something and don't now it, its ok. That's Allah's reward. If your find out that you did it AFTER you eat or drink its still ok. However, if you do it on purpose by your friends telling you to eat or even family members, your fasting has been broken.

    2. Its okay to swallow your spit. (Don't no who does...)

  4. Assalam alaycum

Salma has the perfect short answer.

But i just remembered when my young sister or brother will fast before 13 years old, when they will forget and eat, we will not remind them since it's not haram for them and they are still kids, and we will enjoy looking at them.

    it was funny..

  5. (1) Eating out of forgetfulness in Ramadan does not matter

What is the ruling on one who eats or drinks out of forgetfulness during Ramadan?

    Praise be to Allaah.

That does not matter and his fast is valid, because Allaah says at the end of Soorat al-Baqarah (interpretation of the meaning):

“Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error”

    [al-Baqarah 2:286]

It was narrated in a saheeh report from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that Allaah said, “I have done that.” And it was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever forgets that he is fasting and eats or drinks, let him complete his fast, for the One Who fed him and gave him to drink was Allaah.” (Agreed upon).

The same applies if he has intercourse because of forgetfulness; his fast is still valid according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions, because of this aayah and this hadeeth, and because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever breaks his fast in Ramadaan out of forgetfulness, he does not have to make that day up and he does not have to offer any expiation (kafaarah).” (Narrated and classed as saheeh by al-Haakim). This wording includes intercourse and other things that break the fast, if the fasting person does them because of forgetfulness. This is from the mercy, bounty and kindness of Allaah, for which we praise and thank Him.

And if any Muslim saw another Muslim doing wrong or forgetting something, it is their duty to tell and remind.  For them to not remind, would bring sin upon them.

    And Allah knows best.

    (2) Fasting person swallowing saliva and mucus

Does saliva invalidate the fast during Ramadaan or not? Because I produce a lot of saliva especially when reading Qur’aan and when I am in the mosque.

    Praise be to Allaah.

If a fasting person swallows his saliva that does not invalidate his fast even if there is a lot of it and if that happens in the mosque or elsewhere. However if it is thick like mucus, he should not swallow it, rather he should spit it out into a tissue or whatever if he is in the mosque.

And Allaah is the Source of strength. May Allah send blessings and peace upon of Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.

    Al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah li’l-Buhooth wa’l-Ifta, 1-/270.

If it is asked, is it permissible to swallow mucus deliberately?

    The answer is:

It is haraam to swallow mucus whether one is fasting or not, because it is considered to be dirty and it may carry diseases produced by the body. But it does not break the fast if a fasting person swallows it, because it does not come from blood and swallowing it is not regarded as food or drink. If he swallows it after it reaches the mouth, it does not break the fast. From the words of Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy on him. See al-Sharh al-Mumti’, 6/428.
