Help for a chemistry major: What is the volume of Litres if a sphere radius is 3.1m?

I havent taken gen chem in a long time and im trying to help a friend out.

  1. actually it's not a chem question.. its more on geometry..

    so the equation for the volume of a sphere is (4/3)(pi x radius^3)

    *that's radius raised to the 3rd power/ radius cubed.

    simply substitute the radius in the equation and you'll get 12. 9852 cubic meters... but since you need your answers in liters, simply use a conversion factor of 1 cubic meter = 1000 L.

    so the answer is 12985.2496 Liters.
