Help! for air canada, how early should i check in?

I'm traveling from california to vancouver, canada. i'm taking air canada...how long in advance do i need to check in??

The earliest you can check in and book your seat is 24 hours. The earliest you can check your baggage at the airport is 3 hours prior to departure. You are supposed to be through security 1 hour prior to boarding

It's recommended that you arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure.  (It makes no difference what airline you use.)
