Help for college soccer... how can i gain exposure even though i dont play school ball?

I'm going into my senior year of high school and im really interested in playing or at least trying to play in college. The only issue is i dont play for my school team because of the politics involved. To get an idea of my skill level i played 2 years of freshmen in 8th and 9th grade (starter the second) and 1 year of jv in 10th grade (also started) before i became fed up with the unfair treatment by the coaches.

Right now i am playing for a local club team and wil lbe playing in a u21 winter league with college players. I was wondering if there are any other things i can do to gain some exposure to college scouts or coaches even though i'm not playing for a school team which puts me at a disadvantage.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  1. Well with all due respect it's pretty obvious you're not going to get a full scholarship to a division I program or anything like that. Find out if there is any Division III/NAIA college programs in or near your area, visit their website, contact their coach, send him your resume, and try to get him to come out and watch you play. Also, try going to college soccer camps to gain exposure. Best of luck mate
