  1. There are "safe houses" that have been set up around these communities that take in the boys and attempt to teach them about the outside world as well as train them for jobs. Perhaps you can look into helping support these houses in any way you can.

  2. I think the HOPE organization at the link below helps the lost boys. I haven't been able to find any other reputable charity that has been around as long as they have working on this problem.

    Background for others:

The children in the raid were equally boys and girls up to the age of 14. Then there were three times as many girls as boys. Most boys after 14 are expelled from the community and shunned by their families. Their are not enough wives to go around and the old men don't want the boys around. They are pulled from school by about 12 and used for free physical labor in church owned businesses until they are dumped into local towns with no money, skills or education.

Polygamy is a hidious practice that always produces excess men and enslaved women.

  3. The Lost Boys of the FLDS need your help and I agree with your opinion.

It is very upsetting to me that the focus is almost entirely on the girls. Numerous boys have been mistreated as well. Here are the statistics regarding the number of boys at the compound:

    POLYGAMIST CHILDREN BY GENDER, AGE

    Age Group        Girls     Boys

    Disputed (17/18) 26        2

    14 to 17                27       15

    10 to 13               34       28

    6 to 9                   68       63

    3 to 5                   46       53

    Birth to 2             49       52

    Total                 250      213

As you can see, as the children get older, there are fewer and fewer boys. What has happened to them? Were they left behind in Utah? Were they shipped back to Utah? No one in Texas has reported seeing lost boys.

I think if you contact the link in the answer above, you will come across the man that is helping the lost boys. You can probably contact him. Also you can search on "FLDS Lost Boys."
