Help from a Dentist or Doctor?

If I had problems with my gums in my mouth would I go to a dentist for help or a doctor for help?

  1. it depends...

    if you think it has got to with your teeth...then go to the dentist.

    but if you think it has nothing to do with the teeth then you can probably go to the docor instead.


  2. a dentist should be able to take care of everything in the mouth - infection from caught food in the gum, cavity, cold sores, the whole nine-yards ...  they can prescribe anti-biotics and other related medicines if necessary ...  you would mainly need a general practitioner if you had some other underlying cause, like frequent vomiting or something ...

  3. It could be dental, or it could also have nothing to do with your teeth.  Start with a dentist.
