Help from volleyball players?

im a lover for volleyball...but

im 13 years old and im REALLLY SKINNY, weigh 82 pounds...

not anorexic skinny, REAL SKINNY

my arms are 1.5 inches WIDE

and my legs are 5 inches wide (yes i used a ruler)

is this normal for a 13 year old in 8th grade?

almost all of my friends have FAT LEGS

mine aren't and i feel left out when they wear skirts and short shorts

everytime i try to wear a skirt or short shorts, i look like i have chicken legs, people stare at my legs in disgust and it makes me feel bad

does anybody have any picture link workout step by step instructions to gain muscle?

or links on some dumbbell exercises for gaining fat legs?

my sister, she used to have legs like mine

but 7 months later or a year later, she started doing dumbbell exercises.

AND NOW SHE HAS FAT LEGS!

everytime i shake hands with someone they hold out my arm and say, "DANG YOU'RE REALLY SKINNY"

im happy with my body, but not my legs or my arms

  1. same, dont freak out. you're still young. and growing.

    give your body time to catch up with the rest of you :)

    keep training, it will pay of. i suggest push ups.

    and yes. me being 6'0", i dont have "FAT LEGS"

    muscle.


  2. hey same thing but in 7th grade i mean everyone calls me chicken legs but when someone says something like wow inerexoie girl(sp) and like stuff about really skinny and ill be like at least im sknny not fat like u to ppl that are mean cough cough raya cough cough lol girl she is mean lol yea so its ok

  3. You can start working out.  I do not mean working out with heavy weights so that you will BULK up.  Light weights with lots of reps to help build muscle.  

    Be glad you do not have the other problem.  Asking how to lose weight.  

    And you will grow.  You are just 13.

  4. i was the same.. really skinny and ppl thought the worse. but it was jus me, i could eat as much as i want and not gain anything lol i wish i could say that now =D

    but really your only 13. dont stress.. keep playing volleyball, that will deff build up your muscles. weights... eat right..

    One year on my volleyball team, i was a freshmen. and our setter was a sr.. she was sooo skinny too and small. but thats jjus how she was built.. anyway she made HAAL second team! that jus shows how good she was.

    but really jus have fun dont worry about it, your a kid still.. things will change on there own

  6. Don't worry, your 13.  Your not done growing just relax and enjoy being a kid/teen...

  7. Im 13 in the 8th grade and Im 131 pounds...And i dnt have FAT legs its jst muscle

    So i play volleyball...And i think what you need to do is some weight lifting

    Wall sits, mini sets against the wall...and stuff lik that..
