Help going in to high school

ok my jr.high is being torn down so i will being going into 8th grade at a highschool im kind of scared since im pretty sure i dont want to fight a highschool kid so what is it like do a lot of kids pick on you is there a lot of fights

kids dont pick on me and its not that bad and if you see any fights just stay away fron it the best thing to do if i were you

Different for every school, in mine there was little fighting. If its a public school then there may be some.

Just try to make friends not enemies.

Nope, that's just a stereotype. If you don't mess with others, they don't mess with you, or at least that's how it's at my highschool.

Thye might scare you saying they pick on freshmen, but that's all it is, a scare, nothing really happens.

That shouldn't be a problem.  A lot of High School seniors date 8th grade girls so you should be fine if you are cute.

I'm 14 and 3 of my 13/14yo friends date guys who are junior and seniors in HS so its no big deal.

They may pick on you but they're probably not going to fight you unless you do something that ticks them off.  I was picked on sometimes but I would just ignore it or come up with a snappy comeback to get them off.

(B)Do your best  to get a hot girl... (not that you wont already) guys want to f**k her after your dun with her and won't want to p**s her off.

Haha no that's a total stereotype. People don't just go around picking fights. However, people do like to pick on freshman, but lots of people have to deal with that so don't be scared. ;)

I am a little confused about why you think your going to get beat up. You normally have to do something to get beat up, we don't beat up people for no reason? Just respect your upperclassmen I don't mean call them sir, I mean don't try and use perks that are only for seniors. There has been no fights at my school by upperclassmen they are always people in the same class just fighting. You will be fine.

At my school freshman/ middle schoolers were off limits for bullying. The worse people did was call you fresh meat. You got in a h**l more trouble for bullying a freshman then someone in your own grade.

no, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. But i wouldn't recommend mouthing off to anyone older than you, you'll seem just like another annoying little freshman to them, and they'll probably wont want to interact with you. Also just hang out with other classmates. You're going to have to make the move to high school sometime, and there is really no difference.

& to let you know the freshman that annoyed me in high school are the shrieking hyper active ones, (no i never picked on them) but just don't be obnoctious.
