  1. You said you're looking to draft need, rather than best available, however your biggest need is to improve the starting QB and I assume nobody good is left. So I would draft the best available and try to make trade w/ someone for a better QB. Out of the five people listed, I would go w/ Mendenhall.

  2. You must be a Packers fan b/c you have Crosby, Wynn, and Jackson. Anyways, I don't really understand your question. If you're looking to get rookie players, I'd go with Kevin Smith, James Hardy (beast), Joe Flaco, and maybe Fred Davis. Just look at the 2008 nfl draft if you want rookies.

    GO Pack Go!

  3. If you are basing it only on what you need, then it would have to be Hardy or Jackson.  You already have great RBs in Gore, Barber and Lynch.  However, before I would go with either Hardy or Jackson, I would look at the waiver wire better and go with a proven veteran before I would start off with either of these rookies.  You already have Buffalo's #1 WR, and I don't believe that between the QB mess they have and Marshawn Lynch carrying the ball, that Buffalo will be a highly explosive passing team this season.  Jackson is tougher to gauge because they really don't know exactly how he will be utilized starting out.  If might be a KR to begin with, or he might be a 3rd or 4th WR.  But one piece of advice would be to drop D. Foster and pick up Forte.  Foster is a decent handcuff to Gore, however, he couldn't make it in Carolina's run-first offense, so I don't see how he'll do any better in San Francisco, especially if Gore stays healthy.  Forte is looking at coming in and starting at running back for Chicago.  I would definitely recommend taking a starter over a aging handcuff any day.  Forte might be this year's Adrian Peterson...
