  1. Well, if they don't believe you then ask them to take you to a doctor who can verify but that may not work considering they don't believe you. Tell them that you eat just to eat and you are not even hungry. I don't even understand why you are concerned with this. Many people these days have ocd with eating. If you are in good shape why let it bother you. If not tell them you are gaining weight and you are worried. Tell them you eat for comfort because you are depressed. I have it too before I go to bed. If I don't eat then I have a hard time going to sleep and this makes it hard to lose the weight I have gained over the years. Before you gain weight you should get it checked into.

  2. I agree 100% with the answers above. I don't know anything about your parents but my parents are Roman Catholic and they do not believe there is such thing as mental disorders. I went my entire childhood and teenage years undiagnosed with ADHD, OCD, & social phobia because of my parent's beliefs. The state and my school district forced them to speak to every single professional I've seen and they still do not get it. Some people just don't understand it and they refuse to. My point is, get them to speak with your family doctor and with any professional you're currently seeing. And if that doesn't work, don't give up on yourself. It's up to you to get better anyway, not them.

  3. You don't say how old your parent are, but regardless Parents sometimes have trouble even thinking there is something/anything wrong with one of their children-DENIAL is wonderful if you don't want to deal with something. I guess depending on your age-go get help on your own. If you are in high school or college go to your adviser and explain exactly what is going on with you. Most counselors with keep your information to their self to a point, as long as you are not in immediate harm-but it sounds as if you might need the counselor to speak to your parents. Just out of curiosity when you say   do you mean you are bulimic or along those lines.

If you can't go to a counselor then call the mental health director in your area and ask for referrals of where you can go for help... Good Luck Reggie
