Help here? Mum with OLD really OLD ideas?

I've got my ears pierced for 3rd time.. the regular earrings you know.. cause last times i got infection.. now it's fine and I'd just love to have a second earring in my right ear.. but my mum simply doesn't wanna take it! how do I convince her? I'm seventeen. I really gitta do this..

Some people look like they have been shot with a nail gun. Maybe your mom doesn't want you to scar yourself with piercings. Some people do so much it is gross.

Why all the piercings? I'm 19 and I don't have my ears pierced. What's so cool about metal in your ears?

Girl wait until you have your own children....  They are going to think you have really old ideas. lol  I agree with the others...you have one more year.  Not having an extra hole in your ear will not make or break your life.  What you "gotta do" is follow mum's rules, because you live under her roof.  When you move out...do your thing.

You don't really gotta do it. I mean what is the big deal? You're 17, wait one more year and you can pierce your nostril and she can't do anything. As much as it sucks, when we live with the parents you have to follow their rules. You can try talking to her like an adult and explain why you want it and if you guys can work something out. If not, you just have to wait. My mom wouldn't let me pierce anything but my ears and when I turned 18, immediatly got my nose and belly button done. There is no rush!
