Can anyone figure out how to hook up my tv to my home theatre system? The links to the manuals are listed below.. do I need some kind of converter/switch? Or perhaps a VCR?

  1. Not possible.  Your TV has no sound output, only inputs.

  2. Try bypassing the tv for sound all together. Run an opticle cable from your cable/ satelite box to your stero reciever. That will work just like you want. Fill free to email me for further questions. I used to design and build custom home theatures so I know a thing or two about them.

  3. User AR2 should look at the info that you so generously put a link for before he speaks.  there is a digital coax output from your tv and connect that to an input on the home theater system with any rca cable and you will get sound on the home theater.

  4. I use a vcr for my old tv

  5. While the first guy missed the digital output on your tv, the third guy missed the fact that your sound system isn't equipped with one. Though it does have a digital coaxial, it's an output. The only inputs on the stereo are analog and are not going to work with a digital source. So to quote the first guy said, "not possible".

Next time you go equipment shopping, check for compatibility.
