Took 18 month old colt to farrier to be trimmed. he works on other horses all day. he opened my colts mouth to check teeth. 1 week later noticed acne looking tiny bumps. kinda piled on each other. he did not have these before. any one have a clue. they seems to be spreading very slowly. could not get appt. with large animal vet till the 10th. thanks

my neighbors horse had these, it turned out it was a infection, they happen in any age horse and sound exactly as you explain. Call your vet, they will need to be removed because other horses can get them and the infection IS dangerous. Horses DONT get warts. It won't cost much to remove, he might surgely remove them or you might recieve medicene for them
