  1. If you take the BHS Stage exams, you will go to an exam centre and use different horses, there's also bhs progressive riding tests, and pony clubs. It depends on whether you want to do tests for fun or because you want qualifications.

  2. Not really my instructor just praises me when I do good and yells when I mess upXD

but at equestrian camp we have to take a test according to our riding level and we get a written evaluation to see what we need to work on

  3. u dont need to take tests to be a good rider or be good at stable management, a lot of riding schools dont test u. when your instructor thinks u are good enough u can get moved to a different lesson time with a better group of riders.

If u want to u can join the pony club or a riding club but u are limited what u can do if u dont have your own horse. they do tests for those of u who want to take them but a lot of people choose not to take any, they just join for the fun

if u ride at a riding school have a chat with your instructor and see what she says

  4. For riding school certificates, your instructor will give you the test, but if you want proper qualifications, you need to train and take your BHS exams!

    Good luck!

  5. If you live in the UK, you can either take your BHS and Pony Club exams or you can study at a specialist college.

If you're under sixteen, it's a good idea to start with your Pony Club tests. An examiner will come to your yard and, well, examine your riding!

EDIT: You don't need to own your own horse, so long as you belong to a Pony Club Centre. You can use their horses to do the tests :)
