Help... how can I make friends?

I live a very sheltered life Im homeschooled, my mom is always busy so I dont ever leave. I even try making friends on the internet it never seems to work out I dont know if its just me, mabey Im not interesting because no one ever visits my pages, or sends me messages. When I try and leave people messages I go for the nice sounding people who are interested in the same things as me, either they dont reply or we exchange a couple of messages I send the last message like "so how are you?" or something like that and they dont reply.

Theres alot more but I have a broken arm so I cant type much, but you, as a person "with a life" any advice?

maybe try joining a sports team or something in your community, or a club or something, and make friends that way ! :)

if u have a choice tell your mom you'de rather not be homeschooled so you can find real friends because you never know who your talking to on the internet they can be 9 or 40 years old. im sure u didnt know im only 12 or any where near but if any1 next door, down the block, or across the street have kids "around" your age try talking to them and maybe you can make friends with there friends and so forth.
