My scalp is so dry and itchy to the point that there are little red patches. What can I do to help it? I got the new head and shoulders conditioner to help but it doesn't seem to be working. Please I need real help. Thanks!

  1. you should try to see a doctor. he might help you. head and shoulders only works for dandruff...

  2. You can find stuff at the store for your scalp that has zinc in it.  I used it after I shaved my head in the military.  I had horrible dry scalp.  It looked like my whole scalp was peeling off.  The zinc stuff took care of it.

  3. use some repairing serums

and a mouisturizing condition no shampoo

    just conditioner

    its called co-washing your hair

    maybe use some dove conditioner..

but if your desperate and will pay a little extra money visit www.wen.com and buy there product and thatll definetly help

and use olive oil on your scalp.

head and shoulder is only supposed to be used if you have dandruff

  4. TryTea Tree By: Paul Mitchelll. It`s awesome! I had that same problem. I`m not really a big Paul Mitchell fan, but this is a great shampoo. I included a website so you can see what to look for. GOOD LUCK!!

  5. i used to use head and shoulders but it didnt quite help as pantene does. go to a walgreen store and get a pantene shampoo shampoo and conditioner for dry scalps. first u have to wash ur head twice a day until it stops itching then once a day

  6. Use some type of moisturizer for the scalp after washing.  I know what you're sayin' with patches and all.  GL-d

  7. You probably need to go see a skin doctor

  8. First of all, don't scratch! You could risk losing hair. The best product would be Neutrogena T-Gel. I had a boyfriend with itchy dandruff and nothing worked (not even the prescribed from his doc) except for this. The site below has a few different variations of it. If that doesn't work, consult a doctor, something else could be wrong.

  9. I cosign with Iz YummY, Tea Tree oil  is what may help you, do this if it doensn't work then go to the derm. You may have eczema or psoriasis.

  10. I was having this same problem for a long time, but found it stopped when I got better shampoo. You might be using shampoo that causes a lot of buildup, and this will make your scalp itch. Go to your local salon and get your shampoo and conditioner there instead of going to a normal store. You can ask someone at the salon what kind would be best for you. You might pay a little more, but your hair and your scalp will be so much healthier! If you have a Fantastic Sam's close by, I suggest going there. There products are cheaper than many salons, they work well, and they smell great! :)  But I haven't had any itching problems since I started using their stuff instead of cheap store brands.

If you want to help the itching right away, this sounds really odd, but next time you take a shower, pour apple juice all over your scalp. This soothes the itch and hydrates the scalp. Leave it in for a few minutes and then rinse with cool water. Just make sure that it's 100% apple juice. Apple cider vinegar is great as well.

If you don't want to do either of those, next time you go to the store, look for a clarifying shampoo. That will help get rid of the buildup, which is most likely what is causing the itching. If it doesn't stop after awhile, you might want to visit a dermatologist.

I hope that helps! Good luck!
