Help? how can i over come my fear of dressing like this to school? kinda harajuku? PICS included?

this is the jacket and skirt i am going to be wearin along with some knee high socks

anyway 3 of my friends and i decided we were going to dress diffrent from eveybody else at school (we atend a prodominatley black school wich can sometimes be ghetto) but i am sooo ervous about dressing like this and getting stares n stuff that i might even not dress up even though i promised my friends i would dress with them. i rarely see them during school.

ps. how can i stop bieng so nervous and what do i do when i see other whispering or staring? i start to get really paranoid because i am a shy person

your friends shouldnt mind if you couldnt do it.

they might not do it because theyre nervous too.

so i say you 1st day of school should be fun

and not nerve-racking. Wear what you want to wear

and be who you want to be not what others want

you to be.

have fun and wear what you wanna wear

because your not going to be different by weaing what

other people are influencing you to wear.

welll, your link doesnt work.

but if you are scared to dress like this, maybe it is not the right thing for you.  when something is really YOU you shouldnt be worried about what anyone else thinks of it.  you will know when you find it.  see if you can find another way to be different.  you dont have to wear all black or anything extreme like that, just start w/ little things to build up your confidence and work your way up larger.  try not to pay attention to what anyone else thinks.  i kno it is hard, but just keep being you and nobody else.

be confident in who you are and your own dress sense and don't dress for someone else - even your friends

Don't do anything you don't want to do. Tell your friends if your uncomfortable dressing like that, and if they don't understand, then they're not good friends.
