Help! how do i check my fuel filter and fuel pump? its a 1993 GMC Safari?

Unless you have gauges and factory specifications, a qualified technician should check this. I agree with dodge on this, good answer.

you,ll need to run a fuel pump pressure check on it and its better to let a shop do this they have the proper tools for checking one,and they don't charge that much for doing this,good luck.

A mechanic should do it but if you want to try it, disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail and install a fuel pressure gage to it and turn the kek on and see if the gage reads pressure. This should indicate if the fuel is getting to the engine and what pressure it generates. If not it may indicate if the filter or pump is defective.

Fuel filter is easy, just replace it. Fuel pump is not so good as I have a 99 Safari. I'll tell you now that it is a challenge getting the fuel tank down to service the pump.
