Help how do i get rid of ants?

I have been getting those tiny little ants i spray as much as i can i can't even leave dry cat food down when i spray i put my cat in another room until it dries i don't want to harm her what can i do and use this is getting out of hand

Get some borate.  It's a white power and is safe for people and pets.  It is naturally-occurring mineral and not a chemical poison, so it takes about a week to work.  Just sprinkle some where you see the ants and they will track it back to the nest where they will all share it a slowly die.  At first you will think it is not working but after a week or two you will suddenly realize the ants are gone... and it's safe for your cat too.

    Borate is available from a number of online sources and some home and garden centers might have it too.  It's a relative of 20-mule-team borax.

  4. There's a spray called Orange Guard that's non-toxic and can be used around kids, pets, food, etc. It smells nice too, so it's not gross like the pesticides. It's been pretty effective at getting the ants to disappear for a short while, but in our area, they always come back. I've tried the ant traps, boric acide, the whole deal. Now I just use the spray since they eventually come back anyway.
