Help-how well does cells phones work in the Canadian rockies?

I am worried about using my cell phone while in Canada, on top of the Rockies. I'll be staying at Panoramic view resort. I have a very important job fair which someone will be picking out a new job by poxy for me. I can not be at this job fair a hoped that I can communicate with the person that will be picking out a job for me. I can not see the jobs until the day of bidding. I'm trying not to freak out over this. Does anyone know about how well cells phones work up there?

It may depend on your phone and service.

Sorry, I have no experience in Canada.  I live in the Colorado Rockies, and my ATT/Cingular phone didn't work well at all.  There are pockets all over where I live that it didn't work, but my new Verizon phone works almost everywhere.  This is because here there are more towers for Verizon.  You should check with your service provider, and see what they say.  They may be the one that has the most towers in that area.

it's a bit iffy. sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, sometimes you have to walk around for a bit trying to find a signal. i'm not certain where panoramic view resort is so i can't say for sure but it's always a little iffy to get a signal.
