Hey, i am 13 too but I am also 5'10". You should tell your mom how you really feel aboout this situation. unless you are pretty short, i have a friend who is 12 and 4'10" and he isn't in a car seat, you should be out of it. I hope i can help.

Are you under 4 feet 9 inches? I understand that you are required to be in some kind of seat. Not sure.

they don't make car seats for some one you size they make booster seats.  I think the state i am in has some of the strictest laws and they are 8 or 80, it goes by age or weight.  they are actually dangerous when used by some one bigger because they are in the wrong position during an accident, and you could be injured more then if you were not in one, your moms insurance might not cover any of your injuries if you are in a seat that is not recommended for your height and weight.

I'm sorry... but that's a bit ridiculous, I was out of it younger than 5, you are a teenager, a car seat is meant for small children and infants who are too small for a regular seat, I could SOMEWHAT understand if you we're like under 4'5, but I'm assuming your not... LOL legally your allowed to sit in the front seat...

Seriously talk to your mother, as an adult, telling her that it's unfair and why you think so!

Okay here is the rule as I already told your mother....

WHEN YOU ARE MORE THAN 12 YEARS OLD MORE THAN 4’9” (57 INCHES) TALL MAY SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OF THE CAR WITH AN ADULT SEATBELT.
