  1. slow down

relax and take a deep breath

    i think that u need a break

maybe occupy urself with other things like cleaning your room, cooking, calling friends, or do some sports to distract you from that habit.

most importantly, you have to try, try to create a barrier between u and this 'negative habit' u have stronger willpower than you know, trust me.

  2. I seriously do not understand what you're talking about be more clear!!

  3. "go see a syphcoligist.- not sure on spelling" It's spelled psychologist and I recommend you see a psychiatrist ( they're really similar, but psychologists can't make a diagnosis and recommend treatment).

  4. yep a bit mysterious –

    BTW Carly means Psychologist –

Tina is succinct – the thing is, hopefully the compulsion hasn’t BECOME you i.e part of you – only if your Will (& self-respect) are On Top can you master impulses –

my 2¢ worth – sometimes people ‘beat themselves up’ over something, & it can become a vicious-circle – people might feel guilt (legitimate or otherwise) & then punish themselves for it – if the acts, or punishment, pleasurable then a bit masochistic? -- you seem to be asking about: a negative self-image, from which you’re putting yourself down, which only makes things worse.

the first step, as they say, is recognizing a problem – you’ve done so, finding yourself doing something & saying “I don’t like this” – Psychologists can get into subconscious motives, that’s another story –

if you endorse yourself, try & look at the bright side i.e all your good qualities, chances are you’ll hurt yourself less – instead, (‘positive reinforcement’) you’ll give yourself rewards

  5. go see a syphcoligist.- not sure on spelling but go se a person that can help you

  6. You need to be more specific.  I have no idea what you're talking about.

  7. There's therapy, did a lot of good for me.  if you can't be convinced to do that, follow the advice you'd give to somebody you like more than yourself if they were in your shoes.

  8.

VOULENTEER AT A LOCAL AGENCY OR GO TO AN A.A. GROUP AND DO SERVICE WORK

  9. I'm guessing here but are you talking about drug, masterbating, cigarette, shop lifting?

If you don't want to do it than don't.  It's now a game to see who wins. Your compulsion or you.  Hmmm. who is going to win.

  10. Slow down there speedy mc-typer. slow down... think.... type... re-ask. then we'll answer.

  11. I'm a psychiatric technician (for what its worth.)

You're not on dope or alcohol right? I'd recommend different forms of relaxation such as meditation, breathing, massage, herbs etc. so that you can more easily resist any self destructive behaviors from the guilt or whatever it is that's bothering you. Also counseling is sometimes useful.

Sometimes we are upset about things that are blamed on something else, unaware of what is actually bugging us. It sounds like you may need a bit, at least, of self-discovery. Counceling can hlp with that.

Lots of drugs out there, of course, for it. But try to resist that unless other things don't work.

  12. WTF? i don't get you.
