Help i cant get my speakers to work

i had to to reformat my computer about a month ago and i had lost my restore disk. i currrently have windows XP professional. heres some of the info about my computer

model: GATEWAYGT5244E

speakers: GEM2.0-USB

idk if any other info would be helpful but if you need anything else just ask

  1. are they plug in

    if they are then make sure they are on

    if you still can't get them to work then buy new ones


  2. Buy new speakers.
