  1. It is a sunl so good luck getting open and back down

  2. Some release with the key did you try that?

  3. It's probably not broken but just a bit tricky.

Most scooters do not have a seperate seat release, but have the release on the ignition barrel. In most cases you put the key in and turn it counter-clockwise about 1/8 of a turn, but without pressing the key right in as you would to engage the steering lock. You should hear a click from the seat catch as it releases.

Alternatively, if this is a new scooter, take it back to the dealer and get him to demonstrate how it works.

  4. I'm not familiar with Sunl

Look for a lock cylinder (to insert the key) around the sides below the seat, to the rear of the seat hidden by the rack, directly in the rear by the tail light and license plate holder.

Or the seat lock can be incorporated into the ignition switch - look on the switch for "open" and turn the key there.

Just for curiosities sake, shouldn't that be in the owners manual?
