  1. First of all, good for you to want to try other means of treating your child's ADHD without going on medicines!  That's a much healthier option, especially for the long run!  Who knows what these medications will do to the child when he/she is an adult or senior citizen!

If you contact a natural health practitioner or even a health store they should be able to help you with dosage, as it is a bit different for everyone especially when weight and age is a concern!

    Good Luck

  2. And who diagnosed this disorder?

  3. Gluten free/casein free diets can work wonders with some kids with adhd or autism. My son is on one and was a different kid within a month or so of starting the diet. If you google food allergies and behavior you'll find a ton of info. Dairy often seems to be a trigger. A lot of kids with adhd symptoms are also found to be magnesium deficient. You could give this a shot... http://vitanetonline.com/description/VY0... I also give my son an Omega-3 supplement called Coromega. You can read about it here. http://www.coromegakids.com/ It actually doesn't taste too bad and is formulated for kids. Avoid artificial colors and flavors too. Smart move avoiding the meds. =]
