  1. A nasal decongestant of some sort such as sudafed/psuedoephedrine will provide some relief. Anthistamine drugs like benadryl can also reduce mucus secretion and cause a good bit of drowsyness. For pain - advil, motrin, or tylenol. Take your pick. Any sort of Nyquil or Sinus/Cold otc medication will contain a mixture of these that should set you right.

  2. Rub some Vaseline on your top lip and chest (but what ever you do don't l**k your lips!!) then rest your head on loads of pillows and sleep flat on your back so all the mucus drains down the back of your throat. Also keep water by your bed coz you'll have a dry mouth in the morning.

    good night :)

  3. Raise yourself up, sleep on as many pillows as you can, it will help with drainage, so you can breathe.  Do you any Advil? It works wonders on the clogged pressure.  If you have a saline nasal spray, use it frequently.  And if you have a few minutes, go take a really hot shower.  When you get out of the shower, the cool air that hits you, really helps loosen everything up so it can drain.

  4. sudafed, have to get it from a pharmacy. real sudafed too anything with pseudoephedrine. decongestant works like a charm, but keep you fluids up it will dry you out.

also nyquil will help you get your ZZZZZ's!

  5. Boil some water and place it in a large bowl. Let it sit for 2 minutes and then place your head over the bowl with a towel around you and the bowl so the steam doesn't let out.

Breathe in through your nasal passages for a couple of minutes. It should unclog it enough to sleep.

Make sure you wait 2 minutes before placing your head over the bowl... you could burn your face otherwise.

Also, Tylenol Sinus and Allergy (take it at night (should help relieve the pressure in your sinuses) ... pick some up tomorrow.

  6. Try lavender, tea tree or eucalyptus essential oils. They can be used in an air humidifier or you can put some drops on your pillow. You can also massage the oils directly into your sinuses if you dilute them in a carrier oil or all natural cream first.

  7. get some afrin spray for your nose and some Mucinex cold medicine. That should do it pretty well
