how do you do a problem with these []..

the problem is..

3[10-(27divide9)]

that's the problem sorry i had to put divide,i couldn't find sign.

please help me break down the problem,i dint remember how to do a problem with [].

please please help...

  1. Brackets ([]) are simply parenthesis outside a set of other parenthesis.

    Look at it like this:

    3(10-(27/9))

    3(10-(3))

    3(7)

    21


  2. Well you're going to want to start off inside.

    So bring it to 3[10-(3)]

    And once again, that is simplest, so figure 10-3=7

    So now you're left with 3(7) which is simply 21.

  3. first you want to so the problem in the inside brackets 27/9=3

    and the 10-3=7 then 7*3=21
