Help. i have a sony 19 inch TV?

new out of the box i plugged it in and it made a pop noise, started smoking, and flames came out of the side vents. is this normal?

well of course that is not normal. This is what you do. You call Sony and tell them what happened. Then you call the store where you bought the TV from and tell them your problem. Then they might tell you that you can return it or call the manufacturer. So you best bet is to call both.

Got your purchase  receipt? Take it back to the store BEFORE 15 days, so they will exchange it...
