i have been going to the gym 3times a week for 5weeks now. on the third week, i decided to start weighing myself weekly to monitor my weight. i am a light person and my height is 5"6"1/2. on the third week, i weighed myself and i was 55.95kg. the next week i was 55.68kg and now this week i am 55.20kg.

i do exercise and eat the stuff my bodybuilder friend has tol me to eat like chicken, fish, protein shakes, etc.

does anyone know why i am losing weight?? should i lessen my cardio from 10mins to 5mins??i can recognise that im starting to build muscles but why am i losing weight?????

  1. Because if you are a little over weight- you lose that before you gain muscle. That might of happened here. Don't worry you'll gain muscle when you've stopped losng weight- when your body it thinks it's at the ideal weight. It could also be that your eating less.

  2. You are losing water weight. This is normal. You will then start to gain muscle weight and then you will see the difference.  It happened to me.  I lost weight and then I gained muscle weight. I went from 130 to 175 lifting weights.  Continue your cardio exercises.

  3. You're sweating dude,

exercise is a good, stop worrying so much about your weight, and focus on how much you lift.

and increase your cardio to 15 minutes.

  4. your losing water weight which makes you muscles show more

  5. because excersicing causes you to lose weight lol.

    Cheers!
