Help.. i look like a lion?

i just cut my hair. layers. mid length just touches my shoulders. now it puffs up at the side and i look like a lion. (mane) what should i do? how do i straighten it without rebonding at a hairdressers? i hav a hair flat iron at home. it straightens it temp. do u guys noe what is the thing they spray on ur hair whenu go rebonding at sallons?? thks

after you straighten your hair

just use some mousse to weight the layers down and prevent it from going up and frizz
