Help i me i got nail polish remover on my sink and it ate the finish off my sink!!!?

I was soaking 100% acetone nail polish in a plastic container trying to get the nail polish out of it and i let it soak for like a half hour. when i came back to check it it had eaten through the plastic container and ate tehe finish off of my sink and its like a bubly kinda looking finish in that area now and thiers like a 3-D ring around the area!! i told my parents they arent happy but they told me to polish it. the polish gave it its shine back but it still has the 3-D ring and the wierd texture on the sink how can i fix this?????

please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. There's no way to actually fix it. The acetone has removed product, and it can't be replaced. I'm sorry, seriously: this isn't the kind of thing anyone really thinks of before it actually happens.


  2. Yes!  You can still make Mom happy!

    She already knows that you make mistakes.  She has anguished over them for years.  What she has been watching for is you accepting responsibility for your errors.  

    Mom asked you to polish it out.  But that didn't work.  So get out your credit card, your check book, or your piggy bank, and take Mom shopping for her new sink.  Get a job, or a second job if necessary, to pay for it, but do it!

    Mom will use her new sink for years, and will frequently remember when her daughter grew up and did the right thing.  And you will warmly remember it when you share the object lesson with your children, too.
