ok well im an aspring actress singer model dancer

i have the dancer part down. i love to dance and get dances down easily.

and anyways i love to sing and my friends tell me i can sing pretty good and my parents say if i took lessons on how to control my voice i could be very good.

and same with the acting and modeling/

im about to start taking an acting and modling workshop tht will last 1-4 months. and i mite start taking some dance lessons depending if it gets in the way of cheerleading. and im still trying to find a place to take singing lessons. and i need to know if im on the rite track.

the place where i take modeling and acting lessons. they are an agency too well for models. the acting class takes a trip at the end of the workshop to orlando to meet real big agents. and where i take modeling classes u can ask for them to represent you and if they like how you do in their classes hey say yes or no. and they find you local modeling jobs etc. and you no like a real agency.

  1. Did you know that Adrian R'Mante, co-star of "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody" also started his career in Florida as a dancer.  He has done o.k. and so can you if you do your homework.

You will find that there are plenty of licensed talent agents located around the state of Florida and that there is a moderate amount of work.  These agents are enticed by Acting Coaches to attend showcases at the conclusion of acting workshops.  It's a way for the agents to find trained talent and for coaches to gain noteriety for identifying and training new talent.

Agents don't normally teach classes and in Florida the law prohibits them from requiring you to sign up for such services as a condition of representation :

    The 2007 Florida Statutes - 468.410

    (2)  No talent agency shall, as a condition to registering or obtaining employment for any applicant or artist, require the applicant or artist to subscribe to, purchase, or attend any publication, postcard service, advertisement, resume service, photography service, school, acting school, workshop, acting workshop, or video or audiotapes.

This does not mean that you should not take classes.  As a matter of fact, classes are key.  Just take the time to shop around for reputable resources.  Check out the ChildrenInFilm.com website for information on Agents, Managers, Coaches, Classes, how to get started and more.  You can connect with others and get references for professionals in your area.

  2. First the bad news

    1. I would be suspicious of this "agent".  You should never pay someone to represent you.

    2. There are no "big agencies" in Orlando.  That statement is lies.

3.The only "big agency" in Orlando was run by Lou Pearlman who is now in a federal prison.

    Now the good

    1. You do sound like you are dedicated and you know your goal will take hard work which you are prepared to do.  This is an excellent attitude and will serve you well.

    2. Singing lessons are a must.

    3. You should be able to find a copy of The Ross Reports in your local Borders.  It's a good list to find union-signatory agencies.

    4. Cheerleading and dancing are both good activities.

    5. The Website bizparentz.org has a lot of great advice for newcomers.

    Good luck!

  3. your on the right path. good things come to those who wait

  4. you are on the right track, but listen to your mom, if you need more training than get it, she only wants what's best for you. get all the modeling, acting, dancing, singing that you can. practice makes perfect. good luck.
