  1. Spooky chocolate lollipops

    16 ounces bittersweet chocolate, tempered

    16 ounces white chocolate, tempered

    16 ounces milk chocolate, tempered

The mold shapes used were bats, witches, gravestones, ghosts and skulls. You can use any molds to make chocolate lollipops.

To make the lollipop: Pour any of the tempered chocolates directly into the molds, filling them to the top. Tap the molds against the work surface to release the air bubbles. Set the sticks in place by inserting them just far enough to be secure within the mold you are using. Set the molds aside to allow the chocolate to set. When set, simply pop out the lollipops.

I gave this recipe to another person too. Hope it helps.

  2. HALLOWEEN QUESADILLAS

    corn torillas

    refried beans

    cheddar cheese

Place two tortillas together and cut top into shape of a pumpkin stem.  Take top tortilla off and cut out a pumpkin face.  On bottom tortilla, spread refried beans and cheddar cheese.  Place the pumpkin face on top, bake until cheese is melted

    HALLOWEEN BATS

    large pitted olives

    thinly vertically sliced carrots

    Stuff olives with carrots.

    MELON PUMPKIN PATCH

    Cantaloupe

    Black sesame seeds

    Mint leaves

    Shredded wheat cereal

Using melon baller, cut out cantaloupe into balls.  Place sesame seeds as eyes, put in small piece of mint on top for stem, and lay on a tray of shredded cereal so it looks like a pumpkin patch.

  3. Get some Pillsbury holiday-themed slice and bake cookies. If you can turn on an oven and slice them, you can bake them. Just be sure to check at the minimum recommended time, so they don't burn. Ask guests to bring a dish, too. That's always fun. Good luck!

  4. This is not a recipe to eat...but a fun game!

Boil a package of spaghetti noodles and put them in a big bowl. Add olive oil to make the noodles slimy. Hide candy that is already wrapped in packages inside for the kids to dig out with their hands. Its a fun hands on activity that toddlers love!

  5. You might want to stick with pumpkins, scarecrows and black cats, so she doesn't get scared...  Lots of cute and cheap decorations at Big Lots, Michaels, and your local dollar store

Apple slices with tubs of storebought caramel dip ...

Fruit & graham crackers to dip into Pumpkin Dip (1 8-oz. softened cream cheese, beaten well with 1 c. canned pumpkin and a jar of Marshmellow Fluff - a dash of cinnamon)

Slice & Bake Halloween cookies (there will be different ones available at the grocery store)

Get a cupcake cake from your local grocery bakery.  Easier for kids to eat, and neater to serve.  They'll do a Halloween theme for you ... serve with vanilla or pumpkin ice cream

Consider just getting an assortment of cheese pizza (kids) and other toppings for the adults .... veggie & dip and fruit platters

Apple juice for kids ... Mix some apple cider with brandy & cinnamon sticks and simmer in a pot (or use a large coffee urn) for the adults

Get plastic pumpkins (the ones you carry for trick-or-treat) and stick artificial or real mums into them for centerpieces......
