Help i need to know if im save in my house with my father

Question

I have gotten a weird vibe from my father when he is drunk(sometimes sober) the past two years.. We get along great and we used to not... hes my best friend or was idk.. I need to know what I should do, Now I caught him standing over me staring at me while i was asleep for an amount of time til i woke up and was likewhatare you doing.. he had a weird lookand said dinner ready, but he could have just said it when he walked in... Then today I went to the bathroom.. now there is a big window and it was slightly opened but he was inside, I went in and I caught him standing where he could see me.. then i moved and he moved to another spot he could see me.. so i moved more got my pants on and left I checked outside later to make see if you could see where i was.. Now, do you think this is something to worry about.I would never normally think this, but then i went upstairs and was in my room... and i he was just standing outside my door and finally my mom caught him and was like what are you doing.. and my dad opened the door and said dinners ready... i tried to act normal and said ok be down in a sec... Now, I hate to admit it but I think Im freaked out.. Does this sound bad? do you think its nothing? what do i do? Help and please offer me advice

This is not normal.....and if your mom also "caught" him, something's going on.  Do not put up with it any longer.  Talk to your mom and tell her exactly what you have said here.  Don't worry about what she'll say or do; she probably already suspects something's going on. You shouldn't feel weird vibes around either of your parents.  Your mom needs to know immediately, please tell her.

well i'm sorry to say but its only a matter of time till ur dad makes the BIGGEST mistake of his life. if u dont tell ur mom theres a BIG chance that u will be violated and molested and it will make u feel disgusting and awful and like a piece of trash. U HAVE TO TELL UR MOM! please!!! i'm beggin u to tell her. because this thing happens TO often! being drunk and sexually aroussed by your own daughter is a bad mix. tell ur mom wat happened and u dont want to become violated call ur dad out on it and make sure u have a phone near by just in case things get messy! yes U ARE IN DANGER!

That is definitely not normal. There's nothing unusual about watching your sleeping infant, or young child, but if you're 22 years old, then something is wrong.

I understand you don't want your dad to be treated like a criminal, and you don't want to hurt your family. The best thing to do is talk to your mother. Express to her how scared you are and when she sees the genuine fear and notices him staring at you all the time, she'll take the necessary steps to remedy the situation. Whether that be with a conversation with him, or whatever.

You definitely need to tell your mother or another adult what is going on. Fathers molesting their children happens way more often than you think.

Get an adult to help you confront your father. It's important that he knows he's making you uncomfortable and that he knows you've informed somebody else. Document these incidents. I know it sounds dumb. Keep a piece of paper. Put it in your journal. Don't let him get you alone if he really makes you that uncomfortable.

And don't be ashamed. If he's making you scared, he needs to know it's not OK and that you have a right to feel safe.

I would be a bit suspiscious too. There may be something up, I suggest you stay away from a potential situation, like close the window, lock your door, and stuff when you change or use the bathroom. Chances are he isnt up to get you, but be safe. Try to watch a program or on the internet about sexual assault or molestation and express your disgust with it. Drop hints of how horrible you would feel... If you guys had issues in the past, you can overcome this too, if he still creeping you out talk to your mom, she knows him better than you... I hope it goes well, but NEVER be afraid to speak up if he does something, you deserve the peace ok.

You said you use to get along great. Now hes been drinking for 2 years. Alcohol can really s***w people up and they will do things they might not do if they aren't drinking. You need to tell someone and try to get help. Don't put yourself into the situation of being alone with him when hes drunk. This is not normal behavior. Get out while you can, tell your mom, if she doesn't believe you get out. Go live with other family. You don't want to be another statistic. Theres too much of this type of behavior going on these days. Go to a counselor, to a minister, or someone you can trust. There are different groups that can help. Keep on you toes around him.

It sounds like he is thinking about you sexually.  Why else would he watch you in the bath room.. WATCH your self and make sure someone is around at all times.  If he hurts you, do not be scared to go to the police.
